Yamamoto Kinji

Professor in the Department of Japanese Language and Literature at Mukogawa Women’s University. Researcher into modern Japanese literature. Born in Kyoto in 1966. Completed his doctorate in literature at Ritsumeikan University. Worked as an associate professor at Hirosaki University before assuming his current position. Is a member of the Association for Modern Japanese Literary Studies, the Hanshin Modern Literature Society (he was a former chairman), and the Higuchi Ichiyō Study Group. Author of Higuchi Ichiyō: Hōjō naru sekai e (Higuchi Ichiyō: Toward a Fertile World).
