Born in Daigo, Ibaraki Prefecture, in 1964. Managing director and secretary general of the Daigo Specialty Distribution Company, which he established after working for the town of Daigo in departments handling public relations, planning, forestry, and culture. Member of the Daigo Lacquer Preservation Society.
