■ Gold Oda Tokito (Wheelchair tennis: Men’s singles)
Competing in his first Paralympics, the 18-year-old Oda overcame British rival Alfie Hewett to take gold.
■ Gold Sugiura Keiko (Cycling: Women’s road race C1-3)
Retained her Tokyo 2020 title and extended her record as Japan’s oldest Paralympics gold medalist.

■ Gold Kimura Keiichi (Swimming: Men’s 100-meter butterfly S11)
Earned his second gold of the games after the 50-meter freestyle event, retaining his Tokyo 2020 title.

Lost the final to the British pair Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid, who had won silver at the two previous Paralympics.
■ Gold Seto Yūjirō (Jūdō: Men’s 73-kilogram J2)
Won the final with two waza-ari for an ippon, despite facing larger opponents than when he was in the 66-kilogram class at Tokyo 2020, due to a change in the weight classes.
■ Gold Hirose Junko (Jūdō: Women’s 57-kilogram J2)
A bronze medalist at Rio de Janeiro in 2016, Hirose won gold in Paris with an ippon.

In a rerun of the Tokyo 2020 final, Kamiji lost the first set to reigning champion Diede de Groot of the Netherlands, but came back to win the next two and add a singles gold to her doubles one.

Won its first ever medal in the event after a 4-3 extra time victory over Ukraine in the final.
■ Gold Wada Natsuki (Table tennis: Women’s singles WS11)
Lost the first game in the final against Tokyo 2020 champion Elena Prokofeva, who was competing as a neutral paralympic athlete, but won the next three to secure gold.
■ Gold Kamiji Yui, Tanaka Manami (Wheelchair tennis: Women’s doubles)
Overcame the Tokyo 2020 champions, Diede de Groot and Aniek van Koot of the Netherlands, in a three-hour match to win gold.
■ Silver Hangai Shizuka (Jūdō: Women’s 48-kilogram J1)
Won her first medal at her fourth Paralympics competition.
■ Bronze Sugimura Hidetaka, Hirose Takayuki, Endō Hiromi (Boccia: Mixed team BC1-BC2)
Defeated South Korea 8-3 in the bronze medal match to secure a team boccia medal for Japan in the third successive Paralympics.
■ Bronze Furukawa Kanami (Table tennis: Women’s singles WS11)
Finished with bronze after a narrow 3-2 semifinal defeat against Elena Prokofeva.
■ Silver Fukunaga Ryōta (Athletics: Men’s 400 meters T13)
Won the silver in his first Paralympics appearance.

■ Bronze Kinoshita Aira (Swimming: Women’s 200-meter individual medley SM14)
Finished the butterfly leg in fifth, the backstroke in fourth, and the breastroke in third, holding on to that position through the final freestyle leg.
■ Bronze Tsujiuchi Ayano (Swimming: Women’s 100-meter freestyle S12)
Was in sixth place at the 50-meter point, but worked her way to a podium finish.

Edged out world number one Australia 52-51 in the semifinal before overcoming the United States 48-41 to take gold.

The Tokyo 2020 champion led early on, but dropped back into third place by the finish.
