    Yamada Yasuhiro

    Professor at the National Museum of Japanese History, specializing in prehistoric graves and social structures mainly in the Jōmon period. Born in Tokyo in 1967. Completed his degree in humanities at the University of Tsukuba. Professor in literature. Worked as a curator at the Doigahama Archaeological Site and Anthropological Museum and a professor at Shimane University before assuming his current role. Works include Rōjin to kodomo no kōkogaku (The Archaeology of Children and the Elderly), Tsukurareta Jōmon jidai (The Constructed Jōmon Period), and Jōmon jidai no rekishi (The History of the Jōmon Period).
