Tomoda Hiromichi

Emeritus professor at Shōwa Women’s University, where he formerly served as chief of the Institute of International Culture. Born in Tokyo in 1949; earned his doctorate in engineering from the University of Tokyo. Headed the project to restore the traditional townscape of Hoi An, Vietnam, from 1993 onward. Editor of books including Traditional Folk Houses and Betonamu machinami kankō gaido (A Tourist Guide to Vietnamese Cityscapes).
