Music journalist. Visiting associate professor at the Osaka College of Music. Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1976. After working for the music publication Rockin’ On, he went freelance, writing and conducting interviews in the music and subculture fields. His work has appeared in media including Aera, Natalie, Cinra, Musica, and Real Sound. A regular columnist for several publications. His books include Hitto no hōkai (The Demise of Hit Music), Hatsune Miku wa naze sekai o kaeta no ka (Why Did Hatsune Miku Change The World?), and the co-written Shibuya ongaku zukan (A Guide to Shibuya’s Music ).
