Film journalist. Graduated from Sophia University with a degree in journalism. After working as a film-content editor for a women’s magazine, went to the United States, where, based in Los Angeles, she interviewed Hollywood actors and directors, reported on filming locations, and wrote columns on the US film scene for the Japanese edition of Harper’s Bazaar, the weekly Shūkan Bunshun, and the film magazine Kinema Junpō, along with multiple online publications. Member of the Critics Choice Association and the Women Film Critics Circle.
