Saitō Tarō

Chief of the NLI Research Institute Economic Research Department. Joined the Nippon Life Insurance Company in 1992. Came to the NLI Research Institute in 1996, and has served in his present post since 2019. Has taught Japanese economic theory at Kanagawa University and has also served on a statistics commission for the Japanese government. Chosen as a highly accurate economic forecaster nine times in the Japanese Center for Economic Research’s ESP Forecast. Specializes in labor market analysis with a view to maximizing the potential of human resources in an era of shrinking population.
