Isami Romero

Assistant professor in the Department of Human Sciences at Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, where he teaches comparative politics, diplomatic history, and Spanish. Born in 1975 in Mexico City. Graduated from Mexico’s Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE) in 1999 before going on to earn a master’s degree in social and international studies at the University of Tokyo, where he also completed his doctoral research. Has also taught at the University of Tokyo’s Department of Area Studies and Waseda University’s School of International Liberal Studies. He has translated numerous Japanese literary works into Spanish.
