Doctor of internal medicine. Born in Aichi Prefecture. Received her PhD in medical science from the Kyoto University School of Medicine. Has examined more than 200,000 patients while pursuing research into preventive medicine, nutrition, and the physiological variations among ethnic groups. Author of Naizō shibō o saisoku de otosu (Shed Visceral Fat Fast), Obeijin to wa konna ni chigatta Nihonjin no ‘taishitsu’ (How Japanese and Western Bodies Differ), and other works.
