Professor, Institute of World Studies, Takushoku University. Graduated from Rikkyō University and conducted postgraduate studies at Nankai University and Peking University in China. Received his doctoral degree from Takushoku University. Served as a research fellow at the Embassy of Japan in Beijing, a senior textbook analyst in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, and director of the Regional Studies Department at the National Institute for Defense Studies before assuming his current position in 2023.
