Matsumoto Masao

Honorary professor at Saitama University, where he taught until his retirement in April 2021, and a leading Japanese public opinion researcher. Born in 1955 in Nagano Prefecture. Currently president of the Social Survey Research Center, a venture business launched from Saitama University. Major publications include Yoron chōsa no yukue (Where Opinion Polls Are Headed) and Seiji ishiki zusetsu: “Seitō shiji sedai” no taijō (Political Consciousness in an Era of Dwindling Party Support).
