Koga Kō

Executive director of the Nippon Communications Foundation. Born in Saga Prefecture in 1958. Entered the Mainichi Newspapers Co. in 1983 after earning his political economy degree from Meiji University and covered the political beat, reporting on the administrations of Murayama Tomiichi, Hashimoto Ryūtarō, Obuchi Keizō, Mori Yoshirō, and Koizumi Jun’ichirō. Was chief of the Political News Department, deputy chief of the Editorial Bureau, chief editorialist, and expert senior writer for the Mainichi Shimbun. Coauthor of Kanzen dokyumento Minshutō Seiken (The Democratic Party of Japan’s Administrations: A Complete Documentation).
