Kanehara Nobukatsu

Special visiting professor, Dōshisha University, specializing in international relations, security studies, and diplomatic history. Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1959. Graduated from the University of Tokyo and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he served as director-general of the Bureau of International Law. Also served as assistant chief cabinet secretary and deputy secretary-general of the National Security Secretariat before retiring from the civil service and assuming his current position in 2020.
