Hashizume Shin’ya
Professor and head of the Research Institute for Tourism Industry at Osaka Prefecture University. Born in Osaka in 1960. Professor of engineering specializing in architectural history and urban culture. Special advisor to Osaka prefectural and municipal governments. Received prizes from the Japan Institute of Tourism Research, the Architectural Institute of Japan, and the City Planning Institute of Japan. Works include 1970-nen Ōsaka Banpaku no jidai o aruku (Revisiting the 1970 Osaka Expo), Dai-Ōsaka modanizumu yūran (A “Great Osaka” Modernism Excursion), and Ōsaka no kyōkasho (An Osaka Textbook).
