ジャニーン・バイチマンJanine BEICHMAN

学者、翻訳者、詩人。大東文化大学名誉教授。英語能『漂炎』（Drifting Fires）を制作。著書に『Masaoka Shiki: His Life and Works』、『Embracing the Firebird: Yosano Akiko and the Birth of the Female Voice in Modern Japanese Poetry』などがあり、大岡信の詩を英訳した『Beneath the Sleepless Tossing of the Planets: Selected Poems』が日米友好基金日本文学翻訳賞を受賞。 最近の作品には 『Well-Versed: Exploring Modern Japanese Haiku』（『名句の所以』小澤實著の翻訳）,『This Overflowing Light: Rin Ishigaki Selected Poems』（石垣リン詩集の翻訳）などがある。
