A Walk around the Yamanote Line

The JR Yamanote Line is arguably Tokyo’s most important railway line. This loop encircling the heart of Tokyo connects most of the city's major stations and subcenters. To celebrate the upcoming 100th anniversary of its completion, we explore the Yamanote on foot, visiting some of Tokyo’s most popular spots and less-known corners and showing how the city has evolved over time.
