The Ōigawa Railway in Shizuoka Prefecture, famed for its steam locomotives, announced it would begin running double-heading steam-powered engines decorated to resemble the characters Thomas and James from the popular children's book series Thomas The Tank Engine. The trains will run between Shin-Kanaya and Senzu Stations. On the day of the announcement local children gathered at Senzu Station to have their picture taken with the blue and red locomotives.
