    Yuliya Dzyabko

    Associate professor at Ibaraki Christian University. Hailing from Lviv, in western Ukraine, she studied Japanese and English at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv before going on to earn her doctorate in linguistics from the same school, with a focus on lexical semantics and sociolinguistics, particularly the connections between language and identity and linguistic ideology. Has lived in Japan since 2012. Her publications include the 2023 Nihon ga shiranai Ukuraina: Rekishi kara himotoku aidentiti (Ukraine Unknown to Japan: Identity Through History).
