Specially appointed professor, J. F. Oberlin University. Born in Hyōgo Prefecture in 1968. Graduated from Waseda University and received his EMBA from Peking University. Joined Nikkei (Nihon Keizai Shimbun), where he worked as a correspondent in Beijing and Taipei and as Nikkei Asia tech editor before assuming his current position in 2023.
