Professor, Keiō University Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, specializing in American studies, cultural policy, public diplomacy, and cultural anthropology. Graduated from Sophia University and received his Ph.D in social anthropology from Harvard University. Has been a fellow at the University of Cambridge and a Japan Scholar at the Wilson Center.
