Railway journalist. Born in 1965. Worked at Mitsui Bank (today Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp.) and in the editorial department of Japan Railfan Magazine; became independent in 2000. His publications include Shinkansen o unten suru gijutsu (Shinkansen-Operating Tech), Shinkansen no kagaku (The Science Behind the Shinkansen), and JR kamotsu no miryoku o saguru hon (Exploring the Charm of JR Freight). Member of the Fukuoka Subway Management Strategy Informal Committee.
