Uchimura Naoyuki

Science journalist. Born in Tokyo in 1952. Completed his doctoral studies at the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Science. Worked as a science reporter and editor at such publications as Asahi Shimbun, Kagaku Asashi (Scientific Asahi), and Medikaru Asahi (Asahi Monthly Journal of Medicine) before becoming a freelance writer in 2012. Is the author of several books, including Ware-ra igai no jinrui (Archaic Humans) and Koto ga hagukumu gendai sūgaku (Modern Mathematics at Kyoto University).
