    Tominaga Kyōko

    Associate professor of social sciences at Ritsumeikan University. Majored in social movement theory and international sociology. Born in 1986. Acquired her MA and PhD in sociology at the University of Tokyo, and was a predoctoral fellow with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science before being appointed to her present post in 2015. Currently researching cultural aspects of protest and social or political movements in people’s lives from a sociological perspective. Her writings include Shakai undō no sabukaruchā-ka (Social Movements as Subculture), Shakai undō to wakamono (Social Movements and Youth), and Minna no wagamama nyūmon (Introduction to Everybody’s Selfishness).
