Director, Nippon Communications Foundation. Born in 1949 in Tokyo. Graduated from International Christian University. Was editor of North American news at the Mainichi Shimbun, special reporter and senior editorial writer at the Sankei Shimbun, and professor at Hakuoh University before assuming his current post.
