Tachibana Yoshihiro

Professor at Mie University, where he specializes in weather and climate dynamics. Earned his PhD from Hokkaidō University, where he conducted research at the school’s Institute of Low Temperature Science. Also had stints at the University of Washington and the Japan Agency for Marine Earth Science and Technology before assuming his current position in 2008. Frequently appears in the media, providing expert insight on climate change and other topics. Received the Tōkai Television Award in 2024.
