Suzuki Shin’ichi

Botanist and professor at the Tokyo University of Agriculture since 2018. Born in 1958 in Gunma Prefecture. Has also been a researcher at the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies and a professor at the Tokyo University of Agriculture Junior College. Member of the Environmental Ministry advisory committee for vegetation classification and mapping, and advisor to the environmental council of the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry. Trained in creating urban forests under specialist Miyawaki Akira. Contributed to volumes 3–10 of Nihon shokusei shi (Vegetation of Japan) as well as Shokusei keikan to sono kanri (A Guide to Managing Vegetation in Scenic Landscapes), among other works.
