Shimoji Lawrence Yoshitaka

Born in 1987. Completed his doctorate in social sciences at Hitotsubashi University. Specializes in sociology and transnational sociology. Project coordinator at the Minato-ku Gender Equality Center in Tokyo. Author of Konketsu to Nihonjin: Hāfu, daburu, mikkusu no shakaishi (Mixed Blood and Japanese: A Social History of “Halfs,” “Doubles,” and “Mixes”). Also jointly runs the information site Hafu Talk for people with mixed parentage and those with roots overseas.
