Serikawa Yōichi
Visiting senior staff writer at Nikkei Inc. since 2024. Born in Kumamoto Prefecture in 1950. Earned his degree from the Faculty of Law and did research on news media at the University of Tokyo before joining Nikkei in 1976. Served as head of the political news department, editor in chief at the Osaka bureau, chief editorial, and editorial fellow. Is now a visiting professor at Tōkai University. Received the Japan National Press Club Award in 2019. His works include Heisei seiken shi (A History of Heisei Era Political Administrations) and Kōchikai seiken no kiseki (Tracing the Administrations of the LDP’s Kōchikai Faction).
