    Satō Naoki

    Born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, in 1951. Commentator and professor emeritus of the Kyushu Institute of Technology. Focuses on seken, critiques of modernity, and criminal law. Also served as an associate professor at Fukuoka Prefectural University. In 1999, became a founding member of the Japanese Sekengaku Society along with historian Abe Kin’ya, and currently serves as its executive secretary. Author of books including Kagaisha kazoku basshingu (The Bashing of Offenders’ Families), Hanzai no sekengaku (Crime and Its Study from a Seken Perspective), and Mekujira shakai no ningen kankei (Human Relations in a Suspicious Society). http://www.satonaoki.com.
