Saitō Katsuhisa

Journalist. Born in Tokyo in 1951. Graduated from Waseda University. While at Yomiuri Shimbun, he reported on the last years of Emperor Shōwa from 1986 to 1989 and the start of the present Heisei era. Also wrote a series of columns based on personal accounts by well-known people battling illness. Went freelance in 2016.
