Associate professor of history, Hiroshima University. Born in 1971. Received his master’s degree in art history from Waseda University in 1996. Studied at Leiden University (Netherlands) and conducted postgraduate research at Rutgers University (US), National University of Singapore, and Academia Sinica in Taiwan.
