Ogawa Takao

Music journalist and orthopedic surgeon. Born in Tokyo in 1950. Graduated from Tokyo Medical University in 1977. Was a graduate student at New York University between 1981 and 1983, where he met numerous jazz musicians and other figures in the music world. Books include Shōgen de tsuzuru Nihon no jazz, (Japanese Jazz Musicians in their Own Words) and Miles Davis no shinjitsu (The Truth about Miles Davis).
