Engawa enthusiast and operator of Engawa Navi, a website dedicated to Japanese verandas. Has toured Japan looking for engawa since 2013 and has cataloged around 180 examples. Runs veranda tours and photo exhibitions. Has appeared on programs on national broadcaster NHK and Nippon Television, and featured in the Tokyo Shimbun.
