Specializes in the history of social movements and of Japanese thought. Born in Hiroshima in 1974. Completed her doctorate at Kobe University. Writings include Sensō kakumei no Higashi Ajia to Nihon no komyunisuto: 1920–1970 nen (East Asian and Japanese Communists in War ad Revolution, 1920–70)
