Konishi Yō

Journalist. Born in Tokyo in 1955. Joined the Asahi Shimbun, where he was as a reporter for the city desk and an editorial writer focusing on the courts, criminal cases, and legal reform. Was an executive at Niigata Television Network 21 from 2012 to 2018 before returning to the Asahi. Served as head of the paper’s Sado, Niigata, branch office until March 2022.
