Film researcher. Lecturer at Asia University, Taishō University, Joshibi University of Art and Design, and Technos College. Director of the Institute of Takahata Isao and Miyazaki Hayao Films. Planning advisor and writer of illustrated book Takahata Isao: A Legend in Japanese Animation exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo. Works include Miyazaki Hayao zensho (The Complete Miyazaki Hayao), Ana to yuki no joō no hikari to kage (Light and Shadow in Frozen) and Nihon no animēshon o kizuita hitobito shinpan (The People Who Built Japanese Animation: New Edition).
