Writer and social worker. Hired by the Asahi Shimbun Company in 1992, where she worked as a staff writer and desk editor on the Asahi Shimbun economics and business desk, as well as for the magazines Aera and Globe, served in other departments, and was the editor in chief in the web media department. She became a social worker after leaving the company in 2021. Authored Umanakute mo sodateraremasu (You Can Raise a Child Even Without Giving Birth) and edited Midashi to rīdo de yomitoku Eigo nyūsu (Understanding the News in English from the Headlines and the Leads).
